About the Author :
Kaberi Bhattacharjee boasts an impressive tenure of 17 years in the educational sector, with a particular emphasis on special needs education. Beginning her journey as an 8th-grade Social Science and SDAIE teacher, she transitioned into Special Education, providing invaluable guidance to middle school students in the Special Day Class. Over the past 12 years, she has focused on post-secondary education and has actively mentored emerging educators. Recognized for her exceptional contributions, Kaberi received the Excellence Award 2015 from Pacific Autism Center for Education and was honored as KRON4 News Teacher of the Year in 2016. In addition to co-authoring "A Practical Roadmap to Organizing and Managing the Special Ed Classroom," Kaberi is an integral co-founder of Bhattacharjee Fleck and Associates. With a rich experience spanning 16 years, Laurie Fleck stands out as an accomplished middle school educator specializing in Special Education. Throughout her career, she has seamlessly adapted to various Specialized Academic Instructional settings, from small group to co-teaching. In addition to her classroom achievements, Laurie has played a pivotal role in the implementation of the PBIS program as an active committee member, underscoring her commitment to holistic student development. Her insights also extend to the literary realm, where she co-authored "A Practical Roadmap to Organizing and Managing the Special Ed Classroom." As a co-founder of Bhattacharjee Fleck and Associates, Laurie continues her mission to influence and uplift the next generation of learners. Nanda Prasad is a revered art teacher with over three decades of experience at the Montessori school. Holding a BFA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and an MA in Art History, she is renowned for designing innovative art programs with interdisciplinary connections. Over her illustrious career, Ms. Prasad has skillfully crafted lessons for diverse student groups, emphasizing creativity and interdisciplinary approaches.
