About the Author :
Samuel Kwok is a highly accomplished and Practice-led researcher who actively contributes to the field of business management. With his extensive knowledge and expertise, he consistently publishes impactful books and articles in top-tier international media, aimed at empowering business leaders to make justified decisions at the strategic level. Dr Kwok is a story scientist and an expert in cross-border bullion finance. He holds a Doctorate in Professional Studies (DProf) from Middlesex University London. He developed a unique approach to role-based narrative policy framework and Policy-actors group research for branding management. Dr Kwok is an FHEA with extensive experience in conducting educational research and authoring business cases published and reprinted internationally. His monograph Strategy of China Bullion Market Integration and its Financial Impact published by People’s Daily Press, China, highlights his exceptional expertise in the field. He was the Editor-in-chief of IGI Global Scientific Publishing’s book, . Dr Kwok is a member of Chartered Accountants Worldwide (CAW) and is listed as an FCA on the FCAs Register in the UK. He has several professional qualifications, including FCCA, HKICPA, FAIA(Acad), FCEC, and ICEC-USA. Dr Kwok is a Senior Associate Professor of Practice in Accounting at the Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University and a member of the Academy of Innovation and Management-London. Poshan (Sam) Yu is a Chinese Australian, is a versatile individual who excels in a range of roles and industries. With a dynamic skill set, he serves as a consultant, adjunct professor, keynote speaker, research award winner, SSCI journal editor, author, ad-hoc reviewer, entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and OzAsia festival ambassador. Additionally, he brings his financial expertise to over 30 media platforms in China as a guest financial news commentator. Sam's academic contributions extend to various prestigious institutions. He teaches at the University of Victoria Program at Soochow University in China and holds the position of an external professor of financial technology and finance at SKEMA Business School, China. Furthermore, he is a visiting professor at Krirk University in Thailand, EU-Asia research coordinator at the European Business Institute of Luxembourg, and a visiting researcher at the Australian Studies Centre of Shanghai University. Notably, he is also a guest professor at Emlyon Business School China and an adjunct faculty member at George Washington University's master program at Renmin University of China. Previously, he taught as a casual academic at the University of South Australia Business School and was a visiting scholar at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Furthermore, Sam is actively engaged with several organizations and holds significant positions. As a regional partner in China for FasterCapital, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, he plays a vital role in fostering entrepreneurship. He also serves as a vice president at Tinbowah Investment in Beijing and holds an honorary vice president position at the Belt and Road Blockchain Association. Jean-Yves Le Corre is an Associate Professor and a permanent faculty member at Audencia Business School in the department of Accounting, Management Control and Economics. He has a rich background in both the corporate sector and academia. Before transitioning to academia, he held roles in controlling, auditing, and management consulting at renowned organizations, including Lafarge SA, Areva Group, and KPMG/CSC Peat Marwick. He joined the Department of Accounting at the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS), part of XJTLU, in 2014 and became an Associate Professor of Practice in 2019. At IBSS, he spearheaded multiple initiatives to enhance learning and teaching through innovation and technology. He established the IBSS@Data Mining Lab in 2018 to integrate data analytics technologies into education at XJTLU and served as the academic director of the IBSS Summer School Bootcamp from 2018 to 2022. He holds an engineering diploma, an MSc in Management from the University of London, and an MSc in Research in Management from CFVG’s Doctoral Programme in Vietnam. He is a Sloan Fellow of London Business School (UK) and earned his PhD in Management Sciences from the University of Strasbourg in France. His research focuses on innovative instructional models for managerial control in virtual learning environments, grounded in constructivist learning theory. He explores how regulating learner behaviors and addressing socio-cognitive conflicts can enhance knowledge construction in designing and implementing managerial control systems.
