About the Author :
Tanya Tarbutton works at Concordia University Irvine where she serves as Senior Director of the Master of Arts in Education Degree Programs, Educational Administration Practicum Coordinator, and Associate Professor of Education. Prior to this Dr. Tarbutton enjoyed the role of Director of MAED, Educational Administration emphasis. Her work expands to include participating on academic advisory boards focused on transformational change, presenting at international conferences, and being invited to present at UNESCO’s Commission on the Status of Women Conference. Before a transition to higher education, Dr. Tarbutton worked as a site-based school administrator, resource teacher, and general education teacher. She brings a unique perspective grounded in more than 25 years of career experience. Lori Doyle works as an Associate Professor of Education at Concordia University Irvine where she serves as Director for the Master of Arts in Educational Leadership program. She is Subject Matter Expert for four courses in the program and has worked on extensive curriculum development projects for this and other programs at the university. Working as an instructor keeps her mindful of relevant and changing trends in adult education. Lori has taught at several universities over the past twenty years, but her career began as a high school English and Theology teacher and curriculum writer. She holds a California Clear Credential in Secondary Education, MAEd in Curriculum and Instruction, and a PhD in Psychology with an emphasis in Cognition. Her areas of research interest are adult education, Biblical contexts, servant leadership, curriculum development, faculty support, and faculty mental health.
