Prince Tristan found a new life in a foreign land. He will pay any price to free his princess from the wicked witch, but it will cost him more than he can imagine to save his kingdom. Tristan already despairs for his kingdom in the hands of his drunken, idolatrous older brother. A raging river whips him a hundred miles away to an impoverished, isolated village in a foreign land. No one believes who he is and he can find no way to return home. Finally Tristan manages to make a place in his new home as a teacher, and perhaps has found the beginnings of love. In one agonizing night, Tristan is certain he's lost any hope for the future. God once again gives him an entirely new life, until it collides with his old one. In spite of the joy of meeting an old friend, Tristan learns of a shocking accusation that he cannot let go unanswered. When he finally returns home, it is to an old enemy reaching out to grasp his kingdom. Can God raise up a savior? Can it possibly be Tristan? Take up anew the tale of friendship, intrigue, love, and loss in each book in the Men of the Realmlands series.

Review :
"... Wonderful, expansive, rich ... Truth and God's blessing ... A godly, pure love of joy and discovery ... Politics, terrible tragedy, and blessed victory."
" ... Action, adventure, love, God ... A page turner ... Characters ... you could see them in your minds eye. I felt as if I were there."
It is written in a clean, refreshing manner which seems to be targeted at anyone over 12 years of age.
This story is rich with history, but the author never lets the details get in the way of the story line. You will learn without realizing it as you follow the main character through different settings and experiences. You will smell the aromas of a vineyard, feel the heat of the blacksmith, and the anxiety of a king in the making.
You'll truly like this tale of royal politics, terrible tragedy, and blessed victory.
This author lifted my spirit! She (in a novel) did more for me then she will ever know. Discouragement has been my friend lately yet in this book I was reminded with God all things are possible. Tristan changed a town by just doing what people needed done. Others took notice. The statement today is "pay it forward" but this book shows the way we all should be living and Tristan started it all by helping when he could barely stand at all
