Nick Mirisola is a lay Zen monk, ordained Dudeist priest, New Age shamanic practitioner, spiritual mystic, and modern renaissance man. His full name is Nicholas David Mirisola, but he is also a self-dubbed Duddha. He is a singer songwriter known as Meditative Animal, in addition to being a professional music producer, visual artist, complementary therapist, and published philosopher. His music contains his insightful, thought-provoking, and poetic lyrics, and features Nick playing various instruments, including guitar, hand percussion, harmonica, Guitarlele, melodica, singing bowls, bass, keyboards, and Native American flute. With a timeless original sound, it is a mix of indie alternative folk rock with influences from jazz, blues, funk, soul, hip hop, reggae, and world music. Nick has a master's degree in Metaphysical Sciences, a PhD in Parapsychology and Paranormal Science, and is also an ordained minister of The Wisdom of the Heart Church. The facility that tested his IQ called him a genius, and his philosophy of science paper Points About Points With a Point: Nature of Smallest Scale Universals is a revolutionary insight into the philosophical underpinnings of some of nature's riddles and mysteries. Nick also has independent training in various complementary therapies with over 50 certificates and diplomas in a range of modalities. How does one describe Metaphysical Sherpa: Misunderstood Mystic by Nick D. Mirisola? I think the best descriptor for this memoir is that it is incredibly textured. Yes, Mirisola opens up with his pen, but others also contribute, and it is the input from others who have witnessed his journey that lends the greatest weight. adding depth to his narrative. It's no wonder this is called the Evidence Edition with the inclusion of various forms of evidence, from diplomas, degrees, and credentials to an actual academic research paper that validates an exceptional intellect across cognitive, emotional, and practical domains. I love his songs. My favorite is Clouded, which tries to differentiate between what truly matters and what doesn't, as indifference clouds judgment. There is also an instance of energy manipulation while in police custody that is extraordinary. Overall, this is a comprehensive, comfortably written, and lovely-to-digest memoir of one man's remarkable experiences, backed by hard evidence, witnesses, qualifications, and a great many other wonderful inclusions. Very highly recommended.
