A meeting with Thomas More affords her a chance to leave a legacy. Bob, a badly wounded world war one pilot is send for experimental plastic surgery 1918. He manages to uncover some of the puzzle around the family, but does he inadvertently add to its complexities? The story revolves around these three eras and each sub plot adds layers to the puzzle that Rab manages to untangle in 2018.
