His research focuses on the design and development of novel biomaterials and their related applications. He is an associate professor and program coordinator at the Management and Science University, Shah Alam, Malaysia. Dr. Safaa is a registered professional engineer in a number of engineering associations and societies and has more than 15 years of experience in biosensor/materials design and implementation. He is the author of more than 150 research articles published in well-known and highly impacted journals. He has also been awarded a number of special gold, silver, and bronze medals for many innovations and innovative national and international engineering and technology exhibitions. He is also an editor and reviewer for several well-known journals and publishers. Erkan Koç is an accomplished Associate Professor at Karabuk University, Turkey, specializing in Biomedical Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering. With a robust academic background in metallurgy and materials science, he has dedicated his career to advancing research in biodegradable materials and biomedical applications. Dr. Koç obtained his Ph.D. in 2013, with a thesis focusing on the corrosion-dependent mechanical behaviors of biodegradable magnesium alloys. His earlier Master’s thesis (2008) explored the effects of alloying elements on the properties of magnesium castings. His academic journey began as a Research Assistant in 2005, and he has since ascended through the academic ranks, becoming an Associate Professor in 2020. Dr. Koç’s leadership roles include serving as the Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department (2021-2024) and co-directing the Materials Research and Development Center. His administrative expertise complements his extensive research contributions. His research interests center on biomaterials, with significant contributions to understanding the mechanical, tribological, and biological properties of novel materials. His works are well-published, featuring articles in high-impact journals such as Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance and Ceramics International. Dr. Koç has also supervised numerous postgraduate theses, including cutting-edge studies on bioactive glass ceramics and magnesium-based biomedical alloys. In addition to his academic endeavors, Dr. Koç has actively participated in and led multiple scientific research projects focused on improving the mechanical properties and biocompatibility of magnesium alloys. His collaborations with international researchers and participation in conferences demonstrate his commitment to global academic exchange. Dr. Koç continues to innovate in the field of biomedical engineering, bridging material science and clinical applications to address critical challenges in medical technology. Ameer Najah Saud Al-Huamiri is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of biomedical engineering, currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Al-Mustaqabal University, Iraq. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Karabuk University, Turkey, specializing in biomaterials and dental materials engineering. His doctoral research focused on the synthesis and characterization of bioactive glass-ceramic materials for endodontic cements, exploring their properties and biocompatibility. Dr. Al-Huamiri also holds a master’s degree in Ceramic Materials Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering from Babylon University, Iraq. His academic journey reflects a strong foundation in materials science, particularly in ceramic processing and characterization techniques. Throughout his career, Dr. Al-Huamiri has contributed extensively to research in porous media, nanomaterials, bioceramics, and corrosion studies. He has expertise in material characterization methods, such as X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), as well as in advanced processing techniques like sol-gel synthesis. His work also incorporates modern computational methods, including artificial neural networks for material design and genetic algorithms for optimization. Dr. Al-Huamiri has authored numerous publications in international journals and presented at prestigious conferences, highlighting his innovative approaches to developing biomedical materials for dental and medical applications. His expertise has been recognized through his role as a reviewer for several high-impact journals, including Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance and Advanced Engineering Materials. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Dr. Al-Huamiri has significant experience in engineering simulation and analysis, utilizing software such as SolidWorks, ANSYS Fluent, and MATLAB. His technical knowledge extends to bioceramic material development, thermal analysis, and porosity measurement, which he applies in both academic and industrial contexts. Dr. Al-Huamiri continues to advance the field of biomedical engineering by focusing on interdisciplinary research that bridges material science and clinical applications, with a particular emphasis on sustainable and biocompatible materials.
