"Listen to Glitch. He'll keep you safe."
The Hacker of Hell begins when Peach is at her lowest: her on-and-off-again boyfriend was unfaithful and cleared her bank account. To add insult to injury, he cleared out her bank account. While tucking into a gallon of freezer-burnt Rocky Road, her cousin texts and invites her to come visit her in Los Angeles.
Soon, she has her bags, and her dad drops her off at the airport.
Her cousin, BabyDoll, had already given her ominous instructions (like getting a burner phone), but things become real when she tells Peach to wear a mask when she's outside the apartment-a rule set by her cousin's mysterious roommate, Glitch.
When she's barely settled, BabyDoll invites her to meet up with her roommates in a mysterious place called Hell, where everyone wears masks and no one uses their real name. The roommates decide to delve deeper through the underground city, but one by one they leave until she is alone with Glitch, the antihero and gray hat hacker.
He takes her to Platform 7, Hell's Red-Light District. Glitch teaches her the rules of Hell when she finds out he's known about her for a long time and has been stalking her internet presence. Things heat up when he stops by Bliss, an adult club, to give information to the Duchess.
The Hacker of Hell is a high spice, fast-paced journey into the underground world of hackers, found family, and those on the outskirts of society above-ground.
Common tropes include: stalking, found family, banter, grovelling, he falls first, and Robin Hood-like quests. The Hacker of Hell is best enjoyed as an ebook with a color screen.
