About the Book

Four thousand years ago, the wellspring man of three of the major religions of this world, Abraham, faced rejection as an unwanted immigrant. Major battles raged around the Salt Sea as cities and kingdoms fell to the four armies of four kingdoms, and refugees streamed toward the sanctuary nation of Egypt. Pharoah Amenemhat's solution was to "build a great wall," the Walls of the Ruler, to keep the Shasu, the foreigners, including the riffraff likes those of Abraham OUT. In this ancient world of fear and rejection, Abram's wife, Sarai, survives royal culling and is chosen for her beauty- and for the politics- to be on the arm of Prince Senusret as his newest wife. What begins as a horrible humiliation turns on a dime as Abram and Sarai end up fighting to save Sarai's new husband's life- and to protect the very nation that rejects Abram's people. Known and unbeknownst to Abram, seemingly everyone is out to kill him. The threats come from both inside his own camp and from the unbeatable combination of the four armies. When King Melchizedek and his nephew Lot have fallen, and have been taken captive and are bound to be sold as slaves, Abram has to face General Amagi/Amraphel who is a loathsome psychopathic killer, General Kudur-Lagamar/Chedorlaomer who is a fiery and passionate force who wants nothing more than to see Abram dead, King Tidal who can command, inspire, and instantly weigh military situations on-the-fly, and finally, General Arioch, an elderly man with warmth, a grandfatherly ability to fill the troops with hope and to keep them fighting when they are exhausted. However, to Abram's detriment, Arioch is also the only man who knows Abram's face and who holds a dispassionate willingness and desire to kill him. With all these foes seeking his head, Abram will be forced to confront the Beast of Many Minds if he is to survive.
