About the Book

In the shadow of Khufu's rising pyramid, a young scribe finds a warning older than the kingdom that would rather bury it.

Amunhotep, son of a baker and royal scribe of the pyramid works, is trained to trust numbers, seals, ration lists, and the clean authority of record. Then he opens a hidden chamber beneath Giza and discovers scrolls sealed by the vanished Star-Keepers, an ancient order that once read the Nile, the stars, and the cycles of famine with a precision later kings dismissed as myth.

The scrolls speak of the Devouring Star, the Time of the River's Drawing In, and a drought that will expose the hunger beneath Egypt's splendor.

At first, Amunhotep thinks he has found forbidden knowledge. Then men begin killing to possess or destroy it.

With Neferet, a priestess of Hathor brave enough to read what power has tried to silence, Amunhotep follows the warning from the pyramid's lower chambers to Memphis, Saqqara, the Delta, burned fields, false grain records, temple archives, and the private solar of Hemiunu, the Vizier whose brilliance has become indistinguishable from control. What they uncover is not only prophecy, but proof: the river is failing, the records are being shaped into lies, and the people who will suffer first have already been made invisible by the machinery of the court.

To save the land, Amunhotep must bring mud, hunger, treason, and witness before Pharaoh Khufu himself.

But Egypt is a civilization built to remember kings.

A scribe who tells the truth may have to accept that his own name will survive only in hidden ink.

The Scribe's Prophecy is a historical thriller about ancient Egypt, forbidden scrolls, royal intrigue, drought, hidden records, and the price of telling the truth when power would rather carve a lie into stone.
