About the Book

Luigi Barini è un autore veronese di fine novecento - inizi 2000 che già gode di notorietà per aver partecipato a mostre di pittura e scultura e per aver collaborato con alcune testate giornalistiche. Egli ha sempre coltivato in forma hobbistica, come ogni bravo dilettante, la pittura ad olio e la scultura in legno. Le sue opere spaziano dal figurativo all'astrattismo, al surrealismo e quasi tutte sono permeate di malinconia e sottile ironia, rispecchiando pienamente il suo carattere e il suo spirito. In questo libro Barini propone un'impegnativa raccolta di poesie dialettali, racconti e vignette. I temi di sempre, densi di segreti misteriosi (la vita e la morte, l'aldilà, l'amore, gli affetti familiari, lo scorrere del tempo, lo scontro generazionale, l'ingiustizia sociale...) vengono visti e affrontati da Luigi Barini apparentemente senza prendersi troppo sul serio, in realtà non risparmiando nessuno con la sua penna pungente, acuta, ironica e dissacrante. La sua è quasi una "provocazione destinata a persone intelligenti, un invito a pensare, a non fermarsi mai alle apparenze, a non omologare il proprio pensiero al coro". Il suo sorriso comunque non è mai libero completamente: la vena di tristezza e melanconia non abbandona mai l'animo di Barini ed è sempre presente nelle poesie, nei racconti e nelle vignette. L'opera di Barini può essere paragonata quindi ad una commedia dove - come diceva Eraclito - "panta rei, tutto scorre e con il tutto anche la vita passa senza che si possa far nulla per trattenerla". Lo stile di scrittura di Barini è asciutto, chiaro; l'impiego degli aggettivi preciso e mai gratuito. Alcuni "pezzi" per la loro delicatezza e profondità potrebbero benissimo figurare nelle antologie. Le poesie sono scritte in dialetto veronese contemporaneo mentre i racconti sono in lingua italiana, libro perfetto per chi ama la poesia dialettale, la cultura veneta, o semplicemente desidera ritrovare un legame autentico con le radici e la memoria popolare.
