About the Book

Nautilus Rising is a high-pressure steampunk sci-fi thriller that expands the legend of Captain Nemo into an alternate 1882 where steam and aether collide. In the Sargasso gloom, rogue diver Elias Quinn finds the wreck of the Nautilus and a living core that hums like a trapped star. The discovery draws the Britannic League and Iron Corsairs into a three-way hunt. Enter Clara Voss, a disgraced League engineer with a knife-bright mind and a fast sub called the Iron Wren. Together they wake a ship that is part brass, part biotech, and very possibly alive. The core is not ours, it is theirs. It thinks, it learns, and it defends. One focused pulse unthreads a scout sub like tin. The Nautilus moves with impossible grace, reshapes clamps to fit, and opens grown hatches when it judges intent. The chase drives into Atlantis Verge, a neutral city built inside a sunken crater, where dock overseers, corsairs, and a priestess who listens to old currents all want a price. Nemo's log warns of a network of seeds scattered across the deeps. Utopia was the dream. Judgment may be the outcome. What you get Rule-first tech that makes sense: aether cannons, pressure seals, neural interfaces, organic control thrones, gravimetric thrust Nautical siege and pursuit: League destroyers, Corsair boardings, dockside standoffs, trench runs in black water A living vessel as character: self-repairing biotech, empathic control, defenses that act with intent Set pieces that hit: the Sargasso reveal, a precision defense burst, a white-knuckle glide into Atlantis Verge, a grotto parley that turns into a reckoning Read if you like Jules Verne reimagined with modern stakes Steampunk that respects physics and pressure Nautical SF where cities, ships, and systems carry the plot as much as people Commercial clarity Keywords: steampunk, Nautilus, Captain Nemo, aether, alternate history, submarine thriller, Atlantis, biotech, maritime sci-fi, Iron Corsairs, Britannic League Built for conversion: sharp hook, rising stakes, clean escalation, cinematic payoffs Short chapters, tight POV, zero filler Content guidance Intense action, drowning peril, combat injury, cosmic-scale threat, cult and underworld elements. Fictional technologies and factions. Back-cover promise: the sea has rules and the core has a vote. If you want pressure-tight science, brass-and-blood adventure, and a ship that can love or judge, board Nautilus Rising and hear the hum.
