Su consultorio, decorado con manuales de diagnóstico y espejos sin marco, es una metáfora de su vida: orden superficial, caos subterráneo. Pero cuando los patrones de sus pacientes, ansiedad crónica, adicción a la validación, vacío existencial, comienzan a resonar demasiado cerca, Valeria se ve obligada a confrontar su propia máscara. Y es entonces cuando descubre Los Invisibles, una red clandestina de almas rotas que hackean el sistema desde los márgenes. Entre ellos está Daniel, su hermano, el poeta que eligió quemar diplomas en lugar de firmarlos; Amina, la artista siria que pinta con las cicatrices de una guerra y el polvo de los olvidados; y Leo, el cerebro detrás de un sabotaje digital que convierte likes en gritos de auxilio. Juntos, tejen una resistencia que no usa pancartas, sino pinceles, códigos binarios y versos escritos en servilletas robadas. Su lucha no es contra un gobierno, sino contra un entramado invisible: la medicalización del dolor, la tiranía de las métricas, la ilusión de que un perfil perfecto puede sustituir una vida verdadera. Criptópolis es también la ciudad misma: un organismo biomecánico cuyas venas son cables de fibra óptica y cuyos latidos son notificaciones. En sus calles, los mendigos venden data como droga, los ejecutivos beben lágrimas veganas en aerosol, y los niños aprenden a sonreír para las cámaras antes que a hablar. Es un escenario donde lo sagrado y lo vulgar se mezclan: incienso de lavanda y humo de tacos callejeros, software de meditación y murales pintados con rabia. Este libro no es una condena a la tecnología, sino una pregunta incómoda: ¿qué hemos sacrificado en el altar del progreso? ¿Cómo se cura una sociedad que confunde scrollear con vivir, que diagnostica la tristeza pero no la escucha?
