PRAYING IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
On June 16, 2021, I realized that I should write a book about speaking in tongues. The next day I wrote this in my journal: "Thank you, Father, because the Holy Spirit has given me the chapters for the book You want me to write so that the public can break free from traditions, fantasies, and dispensationalist interpretations about speaking in tongues. May this wonderful apostolic blessing empower more men and women for this final visitation of God to earth before Jesus is sent to establish His Kingdom in this world. What has blessed me for over 50 years cannot remain locked away in a prison of fear of men's creeds or the fanaticism that has led many to evade the things of the Spirit that were life to the early church."
Thank God I have waited for the right time to write a simple yet dynamic and powerful biblical treatise on praying in tongues. Fifty-One years of ministry is a good amount of time to have put into practice what one has received from the Lord. I have no objection to practicing and teaching all those truths that were instrumental in the beginning of an apostolic and prophetic church, such as the first church of Jesus.
I challenge those fanatics of the Apostle Paul who feel great passion for his teachings about redemption, justification, and the grace of God, but are not honest in accepting and teaching Paul 's sound doctrine about the Holy Spirit and His gifts. Who dares to say with Paul, "I pray in tongues more than all of you"?
Those of us who pray in tongues are not a minority of poor fanatics found only in the slums of Africa and Latin America. We are more than 500 million worldwide. It doesn't matter what they call us-Pentecostals, Charismatics, Third Wave. We speak in tongues, and we are not concerned with denominational labels. We speak in tongues in a house of prayer, in an adobe chapel, in a cathedral in Europe, or in a megachurch in America. For me, my favorite place is my prayer room. Incidentally, that 's where I wrote this introduction before I had even started writing the book.
"And they were They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues as the Spirit gave them to speak." Acts 2:4
