Always look on the bright side of hellfire. At least there will be good company.
For the last five years, I've been juggling Bane's chaos circus- keeping the monsters at bay, the innocents breathing, and the lawn mowed (mostly).. I've fine-tuned my combo hunter/babysitter/Groundskeeper Willy gig into a chaos-fed daily grind.
The only problem? Since Bane went downstairs, Hell has been on radio-silence. No demons in or out. My plans to swap places with her in the pit have stalled.
In the meantime, all I can do is ask myself WWBD: What Would Bane Do?
So I keep bashing my head against the wall, coming up with the worst plans on hunts, and picking up every forecast from Walter that looks like it might be hell-sent.
But on Halloween night- the five-year anniversary of the battle in Ashley- when not one, but two unexpected guests crash for huckleberry buckle at Rosetta's dinner table, all bets are off.
Hell is back with a vengeance and this time it's got my name on the dartboard instead of Bane's. Best case? A dip in the pit for me. Worst case? Heaven and Hell kick off another end-of-the-world grudge match-with oblivion as the participation trophy at the end.
But don't worry, I kept your seat warm in the truck. Join the hunt as this ragtag family of hunters Rambles On.
RAMBLE ON continues the Midnight Rider saga, a darkly funny, demon-slaying thrill ride across 14 blood-soaked, soul-saving, chaos-fueled books. If you love snarky heroines, morally gray monster-hunting, found-family feels, and apocalyptic stakes-you just found your next obsession.
