Never has the church faced the level of attack it faces today. Corruption and deception have risen sharply in this generation. News outlets are filled with stories of pastors and church staff involved in fraud.
In the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s, such incidents still happened, but they were far less common. Back then, it might be an occasional affair or a preacher on television using fear to raise money. Today, entire megachurches are falling under the weight of corruption and fraud, and these scandals are captured everywhere-from the news to YouTube.
When corruption strikes a small country church in Hadley, Texas, Gabbi and Joseph are sent to preach judgment to its leaders. The pastor has committed criminal sexual assault across seven churches in seven states. God sends a message meant to spare him from the full consequences of his actions, but when he refuses to repent, his hidden sins become public through seven indictments. Who knew what he had done? And who tried to cover it up to protect him?
Armed with judgment from the Court of Heaven, Gabbi must deliver the verdict during a revival where she and her family are preaching. After weeks of wrestling with fear, doubt, and feelings of unworthiness, Gabbi, Tommy, Melissa, and Joseph step forward to carry out the assignment. Will the pastor heed the warning?
Will the church in Hadley, Texas, receive the healing it needs after such judgment? How will the congregation respond? How will the pastor respond? The outcome is left to them, but the verdict comes from God. As for Gabbi and Joseph, God knows the thoughts He has toward them, and He will reward them accordingly.
