A few hours after my mom died, the first thought that went through my mind was, "What am I supposed to do? And what am I missing?"
My father had died two years earlier, and suddenly my sister and I were responsible for everything: funeral arrangements, paperwork, finances, property, accounts, and countless decisions that needed attention while we were still grieving.
I wished someone would simply hand me a checklist.
This is the book I wish I had.

Very PRACTICAL Guide for My Therapy Clients - Karissa J King
There's a lot out there on "how to grieve", but nothing for the practical side of things... until this book came out. It addresses what to do immediately, within 10 days, within 30 days, within 6 months, etc. It helps grieving people with a task guide when their emotions are all over the place. Buy a few to have on hand and then you can gift it immediately upon finding out about someone's death. I've done that in my therapy practice and it's been such a resource for my clients.
Helpful on many levels - S. Zoom
Buying this book was a great way to be able to take physical action to support my friend whose husband passed unexpectedly. Not only did I get this book for her and her family but the downloadable sheet of tips (to use while waiting for the book to arrive) helped me realize other ways I could support my friend. The book is even more thorough and helpful.
