About the Book

The story of Emma Jones explodes with a plane crash causing the horrific death of her new and beloved husband along with his secret lover from work. Emma is late in her first pregnancy, and while still grieving over her husband's violent demise, she gives birth to her son, Angel. Dive into this fast-paced romantic suspense as Emma flees LA for Monterey, California, to rebuild her life as a rehab nurse. There, Emma meets an older and wildly wealthy rancher, Buck McClaskey. In time, Buck falls for young Emma and offers ways to rekindle her lost confidence in love and lovemaking. Buck eventually passes and bequeaths his ranch to two people-his foreman, Jake, and his lover, Emma, who are both shocked to learn one important stipulation-that they co-own the ranch for a period of three years. Then, it is Buck's directive that Jake and Emma marry-or lose the ranch. This fast-moving, romantic adventure will transport you from the high-rises of Los Angeles to the lush grasslands of the Central California coast. Hop on and ride this captivating, luscious story, guaranteed to leave you in puddles of passion and a little breathless.

About the Author :
A California native, Annalise Chamberlain lives in a remote part of California behind the redwood curtain in Humboldt County, a place where time forgot or so it seems. Her home sits deep in the dense and foggy forest near the coast in one of the most atmospheric places a person could find. Here, it's quiet. And from this magical retreat is where she sculpts her books from her own life experience or vivid imagination. She takes pride in character development as each individual in her fictional characters, is really a person she's known well in real life, and warns her friends, take a look, you might recognize someone. Annalise believes good writing should be a memorable experience. My best efforts are creating books that read like your good friend. "I want you to step into a book and smell the chicken roasting on a grill along the squalid streets of Lima. Walk the crowded waterfront in Sri Lanka and hear the unfamiliar babble of people shouting and laughing. Feel the heat of the subtropics, and breathe the air heavy with the scent of exhaust, spices, fish, and body odor. If you can do that, I have succeeded.
