About the Book

What would you do if you ran the world? If you knew you couldn't fail? Maybe it's time to stop wondering and start putting it into practice. Shelly Rachanow's daily words of encouragement will give you inspiration, hope, and words of courage to help you discover confidence in yourself. Your acts, both big and small, matter. Learn about a teenage girl and CNN hero, kids in Zimbabwe saving their part of the planet, and a busy mom who is not too busy to work every day to help impoverished families live better lives. Find the confidence and courage to change the world. Shelly Rachanow's book contains a diverse collection of brave, beautiful, brilliant, creative, and totally possible ideas that women have shared, complemented by inspirational quotes from famous women and action lists like "Ten Things You Can Start Doing Now." Rachanow's warm and encouraging voice motivates listeners to join other amazing women who are kicking serious butt for the good of all. Learn to listen to your own guiding voice, get involved in your own community, and live a satisfying life of "inspiration in action." If you enjoyed books that brought out your inner rockstar such as Untamed, Let That Sh*t Go, or You Are a Badass, then you'll love What Would You Do If You Ran the World?

About the Author :
Shelly Rachanow is a sought-after writer and speaker for the empowerment of women. Her books have been reviewed or featured in the Sydney Morning Herald, New Zealand Woman's Weekly, Huffington Post, Library Journal (Starred Review), Sierra Club, Midwest Book Review, and Women's Radio News, among others. You can always find her either writing, drawing or splitting her time between the US and England, where she loves a good drama on the West End and leaves the cooking to her husband, for the betterment of them both. She is always inspired by the many amazing women she meets, who enrich the lives of so many. Elena Anderson is a classically trained actor, audiobook narrator, and voice-over artist who specializes in bringing smart, sensitive women (and their stories) to life. Her earnest and trustworthy voice, international upbringing, facility with languages and dialects, and lifelong study of history give her the experiential and technical skills to tackle a variety of genres, with soft spots for speculative fiction, literary fiction, and historical fiction and nonfiction. Elena is passionate about bringing attention to underrepresented experiences, ideas, or events and is dedicated to lifelong learning as both a woman and an artist. Her undergraduate study of history and anthropology, subsequent acquisition of an MFA in acting, and an enduring extracurricular love of astronomy give her a knack for digesting and communicating dense academic material. Thanks to both parents working in the US Foreign Service, Elena grew up traveling the world, has studied multiple languages (particularly French, Spanish, German, and Italian), and has a strong ear for picking up dialects and accents. When she's not working, she enjoys contra dancing, crocheting, playing piano, and sword fighting with friends! She is a certified Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors. She also works as a freelance grant writer, using the power of storytelling to support artists and nonprofit organizations that amplify marginalized voices.
