About the Book

A must-listen collection of stories from the New Testament. In this new children's bible, Anglican priest and biblical scholar Rob James offers adaptations of fifty stories of Jesus' life and ministry, as well as the experience of the early church, designed for oral storytelling. From the Annunciation to Resurrection appearances to Paul's travels, Fifty New Testament Stories for Storytelling introduces children to the key events of the New Testament, whether at home, in church, or in school. Designed for new and experienced storytellers, each narrative is built for dramatic retelling. Ideas for telling the story at the end of each narrative offer strategies to bring the text alive. Fifty New Testament Stories for Storytelling offers a fun and engaging way to introduce children to the basics of Christianity and the key events of the New Testament.

About the Author :
Rob James has been a parish priest and the Chancellor of Wells Cathedral, Somerset. Having worked for the Church of England, he then moved to Canada, where he is now an associate professor at the Vancouver School of Theology. Among other things, he has research interests in the New Testament, in particular Luke's Gospel. His ministry has always included large amounts of children's ministry and biblical storytelling. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia. Amanda Ruston is an Anglican priest and vowed Benedictine. His first brush with a microphone came in sports radio, calling baseball in the Atlanta Braves' organization. To pass the time in the off-season, he started voicing audiobooks, and a few years later he left baseball and went into narration full-time. Now his voice can be heard on a variety of audiobook and corporate voice-over outlets worldwide. When not in the studio, Tait can still be found moonlighting in the sports world, calling football, basketball, baseball, and softball on a variety of TV and radio outlets. He's also a studio host with IMG College, anchoring football and basketball broadcasts for schools like TCU, UConn, and Arizona.
