About the Book

Poor Donut is feeling anxious. School is about to start again, and Donut can't stop all sorts of worries from filling her round donut head. She's tired of her friends and family saying Don't worry! As if it's that easy! Can her new friend, Cookie, help her find ways to manage her anxiety? Christianne Jones, author of Lacey Walker, Nonstop Talker, offers up a sweet story to introduce anxiety coping skills. Donut's story will give children a valuable understanding of their worries and techniques that can help manage them.

About the Author :
Christianne Jones is an award-winning author of books for younger children. Her picture book Lacey Walker, Nonstop Talker won a 2013 Gelett Burgess Award and was a Midwest Book Award finalist, and Hello, Goodbye, and a Very Little Lie was listed as one of the 100 best children's books by the popular parenting site babble.com. She lives with her husband and three daughters in Mankato, Minnesota. Elizabeth Cottle is an experienced actress and theater director based in New York City. She earned a BFA in communication arts and musical theatre from Ohio Northern University and has been recognized for excellence in acting by the Ohio Community Theatre Association. She also has a wide variety of performing experience outside of the stage, including narrating audiobooks, doing improv sketch comedy, singing with a jazz orchestra, and filming commercials, shorts, and indie features. Jack Viant is an illustrator who is inspired by cartoons, picture books, packaging, toys, and advertising campaigns aimed at children. A 90s kid, he grew up with angular cartoons, absurd characters, and even more ridiculous storylines, so he tries to bring an element of that into his work, which he hopes brings joy when possible and the ridiculous always. Jesús E. Martínez received his BA at SUNY Purchase College and is currently an ensemble member of Pregones Theatre, Teatro SEA, and the Spanish Repertory Theatre. His English audiobook credits include The Talk, Four Hundred Souls, Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales, Albert Einstein Was a Dope?, Donut Worry, and The Boat. He has also narrated the Spanish versions of The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao and My Sister's Keeper.
