About the Book

Alex James Patrick (The British Invader, ) a citizen of London, England, suffered mental issues that resulted from two main events during his childhood. One of which was the belief the death of his friend, Dean Wilson, in an ice lake accident was his fault. Dean's brother, Jack Wilson, never forgave Alex, and always wanted to avenge his brother's death. The second event that contributed to Alex's mental battle is the demise of his parents that he witnessed inside a house fire. Twenty years after these mentally-draining events, Alex was all grown up, now residing in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, and still battling the same problems. He tried to find happiness, and move on with life, but fighting his past demons was not an easy thing to do. Before Alex got any worse, could professional wrestling save and give him hope to finally put his past to rest? And stop a powerful Chinese force in the world's most famous arena.

About the Author :
Michael Finney was born in Sutton-in-Ashfield, England. Obsessed with being in shape and the world of martial arts, he began karate classes while still in school at a young age. Michael attended Sutton Community Academy school in the mid and late 90s. It wasn't until he was exposed to the crazy world of professional wrestling in 1993 that his life began to take shape. Destiny beckoned as Michael was drawn deeper into the WWE. He found inspiration in the athleticism and antics of the various wrestlers, especially from the infamous Hart family. Michael was so enamored with the lifestyle it was only a matter of time before he turned his creative talents towards writing about it. Michael attended Vision West Nottinghamshire College for Art and Design and took acting classes for several years before settling on becoming an author. He proudly was part of the campaign to induct Davey Boy Smith into the WWE Hall of Fame as the driving force behind the movement, working alongside Hollywood celebrities and wrestling legends. Including getting the backing from his childhood hero, the legendary, 'Bret Hart.' Michael remain friends to the members of the legendary Hart family. A sucker for the old 80's and 90's movies, Michael spends his free time collecting autographs and working out. The only thing he doesn't enjoy is heights and perhaps a snake or two. The Broken Grit is his first novel and lovingly dedicated to his dog, Max. Michael is also the writer to The Broken Grit 2: Homecoming.
