Kathleen Evans is presently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor working at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from the Catholic University of America and her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from SUNY Albany. Over the years, Kathleen has worked in a variety of job roles in the mental health field, including vocational counseling, in-home family counseling, outpatient behavioral health, private practice, and college counseling centers.Kathleen utilizes psychoeducation, neuroscience, empowerment, and evidence-based practices to aid clients on their journey towards the greatest version of themselves. With humor and empathy, she uses a solution-focused, strength-based approach to holistic healing, starting with mindful awareness as a foundation. She believes in the power of healing for any individual through the practice of thought management, distress tolerance, and communication building. In her free time, you can find her enjoying the St. Lawrence River or watching the newest Bravo reality show.
