About the Book

Jack Mac The Bubble Bath King and The Toy of the Year is the first book in this children's book series written by Scott MacDonald and illustrated by Ryan Davis. This colorful, rhyming adventure follows a courageous young boy named Jack Mac when he loses his "Toy of the year" down the dreaded bathtub drain. He boldly plans a rescue mission to take a magical adventure down the drain to save his prized possession from what he fears may live in the pipes underneath. Once he overcomes his fears, he realizes that the Pipe World is not a frightening, scary place. Instead, it's a fun and exciting world with so many pipes and locations to explore.

About the Author :
Scott MacDonald is first-time author who is fulfilling a dream that has literally spanned decades. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he has always been drawn to stories-tales of adventure, bravery, and the triumph of good over evil. Today, he lives in Atlanta, GA, with his beautiful wife and two incredible kids who inspire him daily. The inspiration for Jack Mac, the Bubble Bath King began on a road trip with his brother-in-law to watch the Georgia Bulldogs play football against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Stillwater, Oklahoma, in 2009. While the excitement of the game loomed ahead, his mind was racing with the spark of the first story in a children's picture book series that would take almost 16 years to fully realize. The story unfolded in his mind, a message he felt compelled to share with young readers how exciting things can happen when we learn how to get past our fears. Dreams worth chasing rarely come easy. Throughout the process, he faced obstacles, doubts, and the ever-present challenge of balancing his passion with the responsibilities of work and family. Yet, he persevered (just as his characters), facing the unknown, learning from failures, and stepping forward with faith. Now, after years of dedication, his dream has taken flight. This book is more than just a story-it's a testament to persistence, the values he holds dear, and a gift of inspiration to children who long for adventure but may be held back by fear. If this book can encourage even one child to be a little more courageous, to stand a little taller, and believe in their own potential, then this journey has been worth every step. Ryan Davis grew up as part of a professional gospel music family. His talent for singing was evident as his parents, siblings, and extended family were always performing, recording, and touring. Rian Davis & the Chairmen of Swing, (his "stage name" and band), can be heard regularly throughout the year playing the southeast United States, primarily in the state of Georgia. Though music is his principal passion, drawing is a close runner-up. His love for art and illustrating has been a constant life-long companion. In recent years, Ryan has been tapped to use his art skills to illustrate a wordless Bible for the Christian outreach organization, "Bibles4Children". Jack Mac The Bubble Bath King(TM) is his first illustrated picture book in what he hopes will become a classic, long-standing series of picture books. He's enjoyed partnering with the author, Scott MacDonald, and his brother, Justin Davis, to bring this exciting new world to life. on a personal side, Ryan enjoys everything vintage - his car, mid-century fashions and décor, as well as classic music and movies. Finally, Ryan is a born-again believer and follower of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
