About the Book

Tithe Your Career is an invitation and road map for Christian recent grads to invest the first two years of their career in missional and practical work among our global neighbors. Tithe Your Career offers a framework for students of all backgrounds to use your most mobile and strategic years as you seek to live a life that matters and see God exalted in your life and among all nations. Filled with stories of recent grads who have tithed their career, Tithe Your Career walks you through the three ways your early twenties are super unique and the best time in your life to move to live in a new culture and provides a proven pathway for finding your unique place in God's global work. Tithe Your Career is a page turner that can be read in a couple of hours, but the concepts and stories will inspire and reverberate long after. You'll have a clear picture of what's possible and a vision for how the first years of your career and God's mission can fit. This super accessible book will challenge your paradigms and vision of how your life fits in the bigger story that God is writing today in America and the global church. Over the last decade, authors Paul Van Der Werf and Katy White have pioneered the concept of Tithe Your Career through their leadership of GoCorps, an organization that has coached thousands of college students and placed hundreds of recent grads to use their degrees alongside long-term missional teams and projects globally. Tithe Your Career will show you: superpower that you only have in your 20s The overlooked thing that you have that puts you in the top 7% globally How almost all Christians have a backward understanding of 'calling' Where 99% of Christians fit in the great commission The five postures that American Christians can take to fit in the global church Order your copy today!

About the Author :
Paul's life trajectory was set when he tithed his career in Amsterdam after college. He's lived in three countries and visited all 50 states, constantly hunting for hidden gems and connecting with people from all sorts of backgrounds. Paul founded GoCorps in '09 to help Christians in their 20s follow Christ among the nations. Paul's mildly fanatical about city biking, Airbnb and lime green. He's living the #dadlife in South Minneapolis with his three soccer star sons and wife Julia who fights injustice and loves all things Pittsburgh. Meet Katy: missions mobilizer, plant enthusiast, and "cool aunt" to an epic crew of nieces and nephews. Katy joined staff with GoCorps in '14 and has invested her career in helping young adults to realize their place in God's global work. She is passionate about rethinking the narratives we tell about global missions and about rewriting the missions playbook for the next generation. Katy published her first book, Mobilizing Gen Z: Challenges and Opportunities for the Global Age of Missions, in 2022. When she's not globetrotting, speaking at conferences, or consulting with organizations about the power of Gen Z, you'll find her tending to her slightly obsessive indoor plant collection (70+ and counting). Katy lives in central Texas with her husband Colton, Teaching Pastor at Renewal Church and Astros #1 fan.

Review :
"Grounded in years of experience serving and mobilizing recent college graduates globally, Paul and Katy invite us to consider a new kind of missions that is not only super-strategic but will change your own life trajectory. This book is a must-read roadmap and practical guide for any young adult passionate about the Great Commission!" Tom Lin, President/CEO, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship "Tithe Your Career proposes a framework for a lifestyle that inspires ordinary believers to step out in simple obedience, leading to extraordinary impact." Dr. Lisa Hernández, Dean, College of Arts & Sciences, California Baptist University "One of the top questions I've heard for two decades from college grads stepping into the marketplace is, 'How can I continue to engage with God's global mission?' In Tithe Your Career, Paul and Katy offer an inspiring and transformative answer, showing how to weave your career into God's greater purpose. This is an invitation you can't afford to miss-one that could lead to a life where the start of your career isn't just a job, but a powerful tool in advancing God's kingdom." Jason Kuhlman, Regional Director, Student Mobilization "As the Director of Urbana, I am constantly inspired by the stories of young individuals who choose to align their careers with a higher calling. Tithe Your Career is a compelling guide that challenges the conventional pursuit of self, stuff, and security, urging readers to embrace a life of purpose and impact. This book is a beacon for those ready to step beyond the familiar and into a world where their talents and passions can truly make a difference. It beautifully captures the essence of living strategically for God's mission. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to integrate their faith with their professional aspirations." Mark Matlock, Executive Director, Urbana, Author of Faith For The Curious "In Tithe Your Career, Van Der Werf and White draw fresh water from an ancient well-that is, the Great Commission and God's vision to see the harvest flooded with workers. They winsomely invite readers to participate in God's global work and to "put their yes on the table and let God put it on the map". Like fresh water for the soul, their inspiration for Going Well, Going Like Jesus, Going with Confidence, and Going Now provide a cohesive vision of both discernment and action. This book will empower young adults to search their hearts, question their assumptions, and change their thinking." Dr. Steve Ivester, Dean, Wheaton College, President, Association for Christians in Student development
