About the Book

A powerful dungeon. A sheep-herder turned Noble. Their path to ascendance through cultivation. Conquering dungeons and using them to grow has long been the most efficient way to become a powerful adventurer. The only thing keeping the process from being easy is the Beasts that inhabit these places. Questions plague those entering this particular place of power: Where do the 'rewards' of weapons, armor, and heavy gold coins come from? Why is a fluffy bunny charging at me? For abyss-sake, why are there so many monsters? Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Core, a soul forced against his will into a magical stone. With the help of an energetic friend, Cal grows a dungeon around himself to bring in new sources of power. When a threat he doesn't fully comprehend bares its many teeth, Cal is determined to survive the attempt on his life. Unfortunately for adventurers, the only way for him to achieve his goal is to eat anyone that enters his depths. Performed by Michael John Casey, Patrick Boylan, Amanda Forstrom, Ryan Haugen, Danny Gavigan, Mike Carnes, Terence Aselford, Mike Ciporkin, Marni Penning, Nick DePinto, Katie Boothe, Christopher Walker, David Cui Cui, Eric Messner, Christopher Davenport, Matthew Bassett, Nora Achrati, Elias Khalil, Ryan Carlo Dalusung, Bradley Smith Rob Moreira, Anthony Palmini, Jessica Lauren Ball, Rayner Gabriel, James Konicek, Ken Jackson, Nanette Savard, and Scott McCormick.

About the Author :
Dakota Krout is a programmer and web developer. He decided to start writing books because he was interested in creating worlds that force the main characters to develop. In his stories, characters undergo serious moral dilemmas and become stronger through training and experience. Michael John Casey is an in-demand narrator with a background in film and stage acting. Marni Penning is an award-winning actress, voiceover artist, and producer who loves narrating cozy mysteries, sweet romances, and books that have a bit of quirky snark. Terrence Aselford is a professional narrator, editor, and director. He has been commissioned by the Library of Congress and recently founded the Cutting Corporation, a company specializing in sound effects for science fiction series. Ever since he was a child, Mike Carnes has loved to entertain. Whether telling stories or acting out zany Monty Python sketches, his passion was making others laugh, and his dream was to be the voice of a cartoon character. After twenty years in the IT industry, Mike decided to pursue his dream, and is now a full-time audiobook narrator and voice-over artist from his home studio in Omaha, doing what he loves: telling stories and entertaining others. He still, however, does not like spam! (Cue singing Vikings.) Katie Booth teaches writing at the University of Pittsburgh. Her work has appeared in The Believer, Aeon, Catapult, and Harper's Magazine, and has been highlighted on Longreads and Longform; "The Sign for This" was a notable essay in the 2016 edition of Best American Essays. Booth received a number of prestigious fellowships to support the research for The Invention of Miracles, including from the Library of Congress and the Massachusetts Historical Society. She was raised bilingually and biculturally in a mixed hearing/Deaf family.
