About the Book

Human beings were created to reflect the image of God--but only to a limited extent. Although we share important attributes with God (love, mercy, compassion, etc.), there are other qualities that only God possesses, such as unlimited power, knowledge, and authority. At the root of all sin is our rebellious desire to be like God in such ways--a desire that first manifested itself in the garden of Eden. In None Like Him, Jen Wilkin leads us on a journey to discover ten ways God is different from us--and why that's a good thing. In the process, she highlights the joy of seeing our limited selves in relation to a limitless God, and how such a realization frees us from striving to be more than we were created to be.

Review :
"None like Him evokes a sense of both familiarity and wonder...[and] puts us in our place, beneath the God of all and over all." -- "Kate Shellnutt, associate editor, Christianity Today" "In this study, Jen walks us through a better foundation for knowing and relating to our Father in heaven--scripture itself. None like Him is a helpful resource." -- "Wendy Horger Alsup, author of Practical Theology for Women" "Jen sets us on the right path by inviting us all to the essential starting point: awestruck wonder at our maker...This is a resource that I would love to see in the hands of all of our students." -- "Ben Stuart, executive director, Breakaway Ministries" "Jen Wilkin has written a helpful book introducing the attributes that belong to God alone...[and] presses the reader to see how God's incommunicable attributes affect our own spirituality." -- "Aimee Byrd, author of Housewife Theologian" "Jen Wilkin...is a woman intoxicated by the God of the Bible and has written None like Him by staring at his majesty." -- "Matt Chandler, lead pastor of the Village Church, Dallas, Texas, author of The Mingling of Souls" "This book is rock solid, and it portends an encouraging future for evangelicalism." -- "J. D. Greear, lead pastor of the Summit Church, Durham, North Carolina, author of Gaining by Losing"
