The Eighth Flame: Book One
The Old Gods were not dead.
They were waiting.
Ignis was a lawyer on Earth, trained to argue, negotiate, and survive with words instead of weapons. His life was ordinary, predictable, and painfully human until he was pulled into the magical world of Eryndor and chosen by Solkaris, a forgotten sun god erased from history.
Now Ignis has fire in his blood, magic in his eyes, and enemies powerful enough to rewrite the truth.
In Eryndor, the New Gods rule through grand churches, holy laws, and beautiful lies. The Old Gods are remembered only as heresy. Their names are forbidden. Their followers are hunted. Their stories have been buried so deeply that most people believe they never existed at all.
But when Ignis awakens the Eyes of Solkaris, he discovers a truth that could shake the world: the Old Gods were not destroyed. They were betrayed.
Thrown into a city called Noxhaven, Ignis must learn how to survive as an adventurer while carrying the attention of gods, monsters, and political powers far beyond his understanding. His legal mind becomes his greatest weapon as he bargains with merchants, questions divine motives, reads enemies like hostile witnesses, and turns impossible situations into narrow victories.
But he will not survive alone.
At his side stand unlikely companions: Umbryn, a grim warrior bound to the forgotten goddess Nox; Lizara, a noble runaway whose elegance hides deep wounds; Sylwen, a young druid whose innocence conceals terrifying courage; Nyra, a brilliant wizard haunted by a family curse; and Elira, a bard who turns grief, music, and sharp words into weapons.
Together, they enter a dungeon that should not exist.
What begins as a rescue mission becomes something far greater. Each floor reveals another piece of a hidden war: false gods, stolen divine names, corrupted souls, lost champions, ancient oaths, and the truth behind Lunarelle, the merciful moon goddess whose grace may be the deadliest lie of all.
As Ignis descends deeper, he must decide what kind of man he wants to become. A lawyer from Earth trying to survive? A reluctant champion carrying another god's flame? Or the leader of a found family willing to stand against heaven itself?
Because in Eryndor, history is a weapon.
The churches are preparing for war.
The gods are watching.
And the eighth flame may be the spark that burns their lies away.
