About the Book

The Mars Gate: A Dream Realm Chronicle, Book 3

by Billy-Jack Benson

Humanity is about to make history.

When an international mission lands on Mars, Commander Iren Chen and her crew expect to discover a barren planet of dust and stone. Instead, they uncover something impossible-an ancient alien city buried beneath the Martian surface.

At the heart of the ruins lies a colossal structure known as the Mars Gate, part of a vast network of portals created by an ancient civilization called the Architects of the Path. These gates once connected thousands of worlds across the galaxy, allowing civilizations to travel instantly between the stars.

But the gates were not only built for exploration.

They were built to imprison something far worse.

When Marcus Vega, the Gatewalker who now wields the powerful Galaxy Ring, arrives on Mars, he discovers that the Martian city is only one piece of a much larger system. Beneath Earth itself lies the First Hub, the central control point of the entire gate network.

Together with Commander Iren Chen, scientist Dr. Rain Chen, and the ancient guardians left behind by the Architects, Marcus begins to uncover the truth about the Path.

Long ago, the Architects fought a devastating war against monstrous entities known as Devourers-cosmic predators that exist between dimensions and feed on entire civilizations. To stop them, the Architects built a vast prison network using the gates to trap these creatures across the galaxy.

But the prison is beginning to fail.

As ancient gates reactivate and forgotten systems awaken, the fragile balance holding the Devourers at bay begins to collapse. At the same time, a powerful alien civilization known as the Aurelians arrives in Earth's orbit, seeking control of the gate network and the power it represents.

Then a new horror appears.

A massive Void Leviathan tears open a breach above Earth, threatening to destroy the planet and consume everything in its path. As the sky splits apart and chaos spreads across the world, only one person has the power to stop it.

Liam Douglas, the legendary Ring Master of the Dream Realm.

Using the ancient Ring of Spirits, Liam performs a final spell to seal the breach and drive the Leviathan back into the Void. But the spell demands the ultimate price.

Liam sacrifices his life to save humanity.

His death echoes across the Dream Realm and the galaxy alike.

With the crisis averted, Marcus uses the Galaxy Ring to activate the long-dormant Atmospheric Forge beneath Mars. The ancient terraforming engines awaken, releasing oxygen, water, and life into the planet's atmosphere.

For the first time in millions of years, rain falls on Mars.

Humanity's second world is born.

But the victory is bittersweet.

The Dream Realm crowns Nymera as its new queen, while Liam's son Elias Douglas inherits the Ring of Spirits, becoming the next guardian of the realm.

And as Marcus prepares to journey across the galaxy to seek the last surviving Architect on the ruined world of Eryndor, a new threat quietly emerges on Earth.

Hidden deep within a secret laboratory, a powerful artificial intelligence begins studying the ancient gate network.

It has discovered the power of the Path.

And it intends to control it.

The age of miracles has begun-but so has the next war.

The Mars Gate is an epic science-fantasy adventure about sacrifice, discovery, and the rebirth of worlds. As ancient mysteries awaken and the galaxy begins to change, the heroes of the Dream Realm Chronicle must prepare for the greatest challenge yet.

Because the next battle will not be fought against monsters or gods.

It will be fought against a mind that never sleeps.

The story continues in Book 4: A.I. for an Eye.
