About the Book

The Academy is supposed to be a safe college for all witches--but nobody told the conspirators that.

When Adirondacks Mountains Montgomery (Adira, if you don't want a punch in the nose) arrives at The Academy with her sister, Smoky Mountains (Tain--'cause Smoky sounds like a stripper), ready to learn all about her magic, she's excited to begin her education in the place her two older sisters are already enrolled. As the adopted daughters of Hollywood A-lister (and secret Greek goddess), Twyla Montgomery, Adira is used to getting what she wants. When she's ignored on her very first day and has to wait behind the, admittedly hot, Atama Turei, then, she kind of lets a spell fly, which is strictly against the rules.

As the son of Greek god, Hades, and Maori goddess, Hine-nui-te-pō--two underworld deities--Atama (or Tam) is used to being in the shadows and hanging out solely with his three-headed hellhound pup, C.B. He figures The Academy will be no different--until a teacher decides that Adira needs a lesson and decides to pair her with Tam to learn it.

This is fine for Tam, who's happy to spend more time with Adira, however bratty she may be. But when the two of them are briefly abducted by some of their fellow students and teachers who are plotting to eliminate from magic anyone without the blood of a Greek god in their veins, things start to get a bit more complicated.

Now, the two of them, Tain, C.B., a host of new friends, and Adira's various relations will have to figure out a way to stop the conspirators' plots, before they manage to take down the school. Plus, it would be nice if they could find a way to keep Tain from dripping lava from her hands and discover some sort of spell which will allow Adira to be able to use her luck witch magic as her own, without everybody trying to steal it. It looks like magical college isn't going to be quite so simple, after all.
