In this inspiring memoir, Dr. Steve Brown takes readers behind the headlines and into the reality of elite competition, revealing the resilience, faith, and determination required to pursue a dream over multiple Olympic cycles. From the classrooms of Wake Forest University to the NFL, from heartbreaking defeats to the unforgettable moment of walking into Olympic Stadium in Sydney, his story is a powerful testament to perseverance in the face of adversity. Filled with lessons on leadership, discipline, personal growth, and the courage to keep moving forward when success seems impossible, this book is for athletes, entrepreneurs, students, and anyone pursuing a goal that feels just beyond their reach.
Through his journey from Washington, D.C., to the Olympic stage, Dr. Brown's message remains clear: failure is not the opposite of success. It is the data that makes success possible.
