About the Book

The colonel is worth more alive than they are.

Command doesn't say that. The math does.

Cambodia, 1967. A facility fourteen kilometers across the border that the United States officially does not know about. A Chinese signals intelligence station three months from intercepting every American tactical radio transmission in the Central Highlands. And one man who can explain it all - Colonel Dao Vinh Loc, guarded by a hundred and thirty NVA regulars in a valley the team's intelligence sergeant marks on the overlay in red block letters: KILL BOX.

Captain Decker and Recon Team Massai get the warning order. Prisoner snatch. Take the colonel alive. The team is eleven Americans and thirty Montagnard strikers. The plan has one way in and one way out. The extraction is the flaw and everyone knows it before they leave the wire.

The snatch works. The extraction doesn't.

The weather closes. The helicopters can't fly. Cut off inside Cambodia with a prisoner, wounded men, and a company of NVA behind them, the team has twelve kilometers of jungle between them and the border. The colonel knows what he's worth. The jungle doesn't care what anyone is worth.

One Montagnard striker will not come home. His name will not appear in the classified briefing. His wife weaves cloth in the village on the south slope. His son is three years old.

The after-action report has boxes for numbers. The numbers fit. The rest does not.

THE KILL BOX is Book Two of the Green Hell Series - built on real MACV-SOG operations, real tactics, and the real cost of intelligence gathered by men who will never be told what their bleeding bought.

For readers of military fiction who want the mission and the price. Not the Hollywood version.
