About the Book

Previously published as Global Warming: The Great Deception by Guy K. Mitchell Jr.

The second edition of "Global Warming -The Great Deception" includes the original text of the first edition plus twenty-eight op-ed articles in the Appendix that were written by Guy Mitchell and have been published in various media outlets. The op-ed articles cover a broad range of subjects such as the economic and social ramifications of prematurely closing nuclear and fossil fuel fired power plants in Europe and the US, the pitfalls of solar and wind power plants, the effort to use climate change to effect a new world order, scientific censorship, and the devolution of the EU into a group of second world powers.

"The Looming Energy Crisis in the US" addresses the reduced capacity of the electric power grid in the US caused by the premature shutdown of fossil fuel plants and nuclear power plants (which emit only steam and heat). They have been replaced by less reliable alternative energy sources such as wind and solar power plants, and the result is a capacity constrained US power grid that may soon be unable to supply demand.

"The Achilles Heel of Wind and Solar Generation" explains the technical constraints that limit the ability of alternative energy sources such as wind and solar generators to accommodate fluctuations in electric power grid frequency and black start a grid that has been forced offline.

"Can Climate Change Create a New World Order" details the efforts by the World Economic Forum and the UNIPCC to facilitate the elimination of the production and use of fossil fuels in the US by promoting the reduction of CO2 emissions. The effect would be to reduce America's role in the world from an economic and military superpower to that of one like Europe.

"Scientific Censorship Reaches New Heights" explains how US politicians Al Gore and Ed Markey forced the resignation of the President of the World Bank, David Malpass, for stating that he "did not believe that there was a link between carbon emissions and global warming." In addition, it reveals the decision of Pablo Moreno, the Director of a unit of the International Monetary Fund, to cancel an address by Dr. John Clauser to the IMF because he said in a speech to the 2023 Korea Quantum Conference that he "did not believe that there was a climate crisis". It should be noted that Dr. Clauser is a theoretical physicist who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2022, as well as the Wolf Prize in Physics in 2010. Both awards were for contributions that Dr. Clauser made in the field of quantum mechanics for his groundbreaking work about the quantum entanglement of particles.

The original text from the first edition uses the fundamental principles of thermodynamics, quantum physics and spectroscopy to prove that man has not caused global warming. The op-ed articles in the Appendix illustrate the dangers of allowing the use of the pseudoscience employed by the proponents of the man-made global warming hypothesis to dictate consumer behavior, government policy and the configuration of the US power grid.
