"Le Ciel en Enfer" est un roman d'aventures, des vies coups-de-poing, des pages de pus, mais aussi des passions, avec en tache de fond les iniquites de ceux qui ordonnent. Surement pas. Mais, quitte a le passer a la question, on lui en pose avec plaisir. En avant, marche ! Monbestseller: Les militaires, chez vous, ca sut, ca crache, ca souffre. Des souvenirs d'une vie en uniforme ? C'est evident. Oui, ce sont des souvenirs epars, vecus durant mes cinq annees passees a la Legion etrangere. Et j'ai tres vite compris le fonctionnement des armees dans le monde: des hommes intelligents, instruits, psychologues et competents dans le domaine militaire, modelent des gamins et abetissent les plus vieux pour leur faire faire ce a quoi ils sont destines: de la chair a canon, au profit de ceux qui pronent les guerres dans leur fauteuil. Ordonner, c'est facile, quand on n'a pas a subir ce que l'on ordonne. Monbestseller: Un roman d'aventures vecues, c'est vous qui le dites. Alors, autofiction, fiction tout court, autobiographie, un peu de tout ca ? Ce roman est bien evidemment autobiographique. Tous mes personnages ont existe. J'ai vecu et souffert avec eux. Les histoires, pour la plupart, sont vraies. Il y a tres peu de fiction. J'ai bien entendu reinvente les dialogues. Monbestseller: Il y a de la secheresse dans votre ecriture, et ce cote delirium tremens qu'on retrouve chez certains cineastes. Un peu de Full Metal Jacket, d'Apocalypse Now derriere tout ca ? Derriere tout ca, il y a l'homme, qui n'est jamais sur de rien, qui doute sans cesse, qui ne croit plus en l'humain, qui se pose sans cesse la question: a qui profite le crime ? Delirium tremens ? Certes non ! Informe, critique et lucide ! Apocalypse Now ? C'est du pipi de chat au regard de toutes les atrocites qui ont ete commises depuis. Monbestseller: Hier... Racontez-nous comment tout a commence ? Avoir raconte un grand nombre de fois l'aventure de Nossy-Longo a des amis qui beaient d'admiration, m'a donne l'envie de l'ecrire sous la forme d'une nouvelle. L'idee de l'etoffer est venue ensuite. Un article du Canard enchaine qui posait la question de savoir pourquoi un grand auteur malgache occultait les horreurs commises par la pacification francaise m'a mis la plume en bouche. J'avais la matiere. Un fil conducteur vecu et les bibliotheques me l'ont fournie.

Successivement tourneur fraiseur, boucher, legionnaire, patron de bar, trompettiste, chercheur d'or et d'emeraude, demineur, restaurateur..., et puis une envie subite de naviguer l'a lance a l'assaut de l'Atlantique. Depuis, il continue sa route avec pour passion la mer et l'ecriture depuis toujours. Il ne se considere pas comme un ecrivain, mais comme un ecrivaillon qui aime ecrire .
