About the Author :

Dr. Yogesh Kumar is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Patna, India. He has completed B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, M.Tech in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology Gorakhpur in 2006 and 2010, respectively, and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from IIT (BHU) Varanasi in 2018. Dr. Kumar joined as Assistant Professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Patna in January 2020. He continued to work in the area of Metal Forming Processes and got prestigious Start-up Research Grant (SRG) of INR 21.39 Lakhs from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), India for his project titled "Development of Robot-based Incremental Sheet Hydro-Forming Machine". His research areas include Metal Forming and Additive Manufacturing Technologies. He has developed "Metal Forming and Additive Manufacturing Research Lab" at National Institute of Technology Patna. Dr. Kumar has supervised 4 PhD thesis and 4 M.Tech dissertations at NIT Patna. He has published 27 research papers in various International Journals and has two granted patents to his credit. He has organized several Faculty Development Programs as Coordinator and One International Conference as Organizing Secretary at NIT Patna. He has also served as a Guest Editor for Special Issue of the Welding International (Journal) published by Taylor and Francis. Recently Dr. Kumar has received one more research grant of INR 60.59 Lakhs for his project titled "Development of Directed Energy Deposition Gas Metal Arc (DED-GMA) setup for fabricating Aluminium Alloy and Experimental Investigation on the Effect of Process Parameters on Metallurgical and Mechanical Properties of fabricated components" from Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), New Delhi.

Dr. Santosh Kumar is Fellow IE (India) and presently looking into as Professor (HAG) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi. He has been Chairman & Coordinator of Teaching-Learning Cell & Professor in charge of IIT Main Library & Main workshop at IIT (BHU). He graduated (Production Engineering) from NIT Allahabad in 1986 and did his ME in 1988 from the same place. He did his Ph.D. work at IIT Kanpur (1999) under Prof. G. K. Lal & Prof. Kripa Shanker. He is having working Industry R&D exposure as well at Ispat Industries Dolvi (Mumbai). Dr. Kumar bears a very good academic record and he has published more than 100 international & national journal papers. Dr. Santosh has guided about 28 UG and 32 PG projects and 50 master's thesis are also to his credit. Seven Ph.D. scholars have also completed their thesis under him. He has published 14 articles and has developed courses related to technology of competitive manufacturing, additive manufacturing and metal forming, etc. He has conducted several short-term courses for teachers national level. He has organized several conferences including 22nd National Jeevan Vidya Sammelan 2017. Dr. Kumar has also been Chairman of Induction Program Outreach Cell, (IIT-BHU). He has completed 14 sponsored research projects under him. He has also worked as a consultant to many industries for industrial problems. He has developed four new machines from scratch for government organization including the recent Water-Air Oxygen Concentrator Machine in 2021. Three of them are patented. He has very extensive administrative experience at institute level and at the national level. He is well established in the area of automation and manufacturing and teaches subjects related to metal forming, automation and CAD/CAM in manufacturing & additive manufacturing. He has also been the in-charge of CAD/ CAM and Production Laboratory at IIT-BHU Varanasi and enjoys Institute administrative jobs and sports activities as well as. He has served at National level institutions Laboratory in many capacities. He has developed 'Additive Manufacturing & Product Design Development Lab' including a 'Incremental Sheet Hydroforming lab' in the Production Engineering Department.

Dr. Gürel Çam is currently a full professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Iskenderun Technical University, İskenderun-Hatay, Turkey. He is also currently giving lecture at gedik University, İstanbul. He earned his Ph.D. degree in materials science from the Imperial College of Science, Technology, and Medicine, University of London, U.K., in 1990. He also worked at Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht (Research Center), Institute of Materials Research, Germany for four years between 1994 and 1998. He has authored or co-authored 102 journal articles, 82 proceeding papers (10 of them are keynote presentations - invited lectures), and one international book chapter. His publications have been cited more than 9400 times in Google Scholar, h-index = 53 (over7000 citations in Scopus; h-index: 49, and more than 6350 citations in WOS; h-index: 46). He is the writer of a book entitled 'Science and Technology of Welding' (in Turkish). His research interests include metal additive manufacturing, particularly wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM), welding technologies including friction stir welding, diffusion bonding, electron beam welding, laser beam welding, and characterization of welded joints. He is a member of AWS (American Welding Society), USA, and DVS (Deutsche Verband für Schweisstechnik), Germany. He is also a member of the General Board, Institute of Turkish Welding Technologies, İstanbul, Turkey, since January 2009, and MUDEK Programme Evaluator, Turkey (Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy-Materials Engineering) since May 2018.
