About the Book

This proceedings book features selected chapters on fluid dynamics and its applications, presented at the 6th International Conference on Applications of Fluid Dynamics (ICAFD-2024). The conference was hosted by the Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Krishnankoil, Srivilliputhur, Tamil Nadu, India, in collaboration with The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago, and the University of Dodoma, Tanzania, from December 5 to 7, 2024.
The book showcases recent research in applied mathematics and mechanics across diverse fields, fostering discussions on groundbreaking developments and emerging challenges. The chapters explore a wide range of fluid dynamics applications, including aerospace dynamics and propulsion, atmospheric sciences, compressible flow, environmental fluid dynamics, control structures, viscoelasticity, and the mechanics of composites. By emphasizing both theoretical advancements and practical implementations, this book serves as a valuable resource for researchers and graduate students, guiding them toward potential directions for future research in applied mathematics and mechanics.
