About the Book

The Reading Tree is a heartwarming tale of the magic that happens when we believe in ourselves and each other. When a group of forest animals hears a magical story from the mystical Reading Tree about a missing unicorn named Luna, they go on an enchanting adventure to find her, discovering friendship, bravery, and the magic of believing in themselves along the way. At the end of the story, the reader is asked, "Do you want to create your own Dragon Adventure story?" Blank pages are provided for them to create their own keepsake story using their imagination and creativity.

About the Author :
Many years ago, Therese started her artistic career creating and designing custom stained-glass windows. Her creations were sold and installed in dozens of homes throughout the Los Angeles area. After a distinguished software career, she returned to artistic endeavors. A self-taught artist, Therese specializes in creating paintings and mixed-media works inspired by her love of nature and color harmony. Even though she is legally blind, Therese has enough sight to create works of art to brighten others' lives. Therese was awarded a 2018 Arts and Accessibility Grant by the NADC. Therese exhibited her 60-piece body of work at a solo exhibition at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts in January 2020. The Performing Arts Center invited Therese for another solo exhibition in February 2022. Therese's most recent solo show was at the Canyon Theatre Guild, June-August 2023, with over 40 new artworks.
