About the Book

In this collection of essays and articles, more than sixty friends and colleagues from around the world pay tribute to Professor Janos Bak on his 70th birthday. Reflecting the intellectual calibre of Janos Bak, scholars not only of medieval history, but also from the fields of modern history, philosophy, linguistics, art history and political science provide a broad range of perspectives on a wide range of disciplinary areas. Most of the articles are pubished in English but there are a few exceptions pubished in German and French.
