About the Author :
Claudio Rojas nacio en Santiago, en 1952, y es el mayor de nueve hermanos. Estudio en el Instituto Pedagogico de la Universidad de Chile, desde donde egreso, en 1975, como profesor de Castellano. Tomo parte activa como dramaturgo y actor en la mitica Caravana de la Cultura de la FECH, en 1971. Dejo inconclusa una licenciatura en Literatura en el Departamento de Estudios Humanisticos, en el tiempo de Nicanor Parra, Enrique Lihn y Jorge Guzman. Radicado en Londres, desde 1977, Rojas ha trabajado como profesor de espanol como lengua extranjera, ha sido traductor, subtitulador de peliculas y narrador de sinopsis. Durante veinte anos, se desempeno como periodista y presentador de radio en la BBC de Londres. En 1991, se represento, en Santiago, su obra para un personaje, "Orteguita." El drama Muertos de Risa, escrito al alimon con Mario Valdovinos, fue uno de los diez premios, sin prelacion, otorgados por el Ministerio de Educacion, en 1995. En 2008, el jurado de The Bruntwood Competition, concurso de dramaturgia britanico que convoca anualmente a miles de obras, incluyo entre los finalistas su primera obra en ingles, BRYNCK. Deseable mujer de tu projimo es su primera novela y la publica bajo el alero de Editorial Forja.
