About the Book

There's a blue crow who doesn't know anyone like him. At times he feels terribly lonely. When new black crow neighbors mock him, the blue crow feels even sadder. On the advice of a wise owl, he embarks on a journey across the sea, searching for friendship and belonging. With lyrical storytelling by Tuula Pere and luminous illustrations by Catty Flores, The Only Blue Crow is a heartwarming tale about diversity, empathy, and self-acceptance - a gentle reminder that we all have a place in the world. This bilingual Finnish-Hindi edition brings the beloved story to a wider audience, celebrating cultural connection and the power of understanding through two languages.

Review :
"This beautiful, lovable, and touching little children's book is full of amazing things. A deep and melancholy tone runs through it, yet it's filled with glimpses of hope and light. The Only Blue Crow helps children come to grips with their feelings and realize that, no matter how bad things may seem, there is always hope and someone who cares about them." - Outstanding Creator Awards "A thoughtful and inspirational picture book, The Only Blue Crow tackles the topics of loneliness, depression, and self-worth through the life of an unforgettable blue bird. In today's world, its message is especially important - teaching children that being different is not wrong or bad, and that they should seek out people who appreciate them for who they truly are." - Literary Titan "The Only Blue Crow is a compelling story about feeling alienated and learning that being different does not mean being alone. Through the blue crow's journey and a wise owl's guidance, Tuula Pere encourages curiosity and courage - showing children that connection and belonging are possible when you open your heart to the world." - Maincrest Media "Tuula Pere's lyrical prose captures the beauty of nature and the depth of emotion in a way that resonates with readers of all ages. While written for children, The Only Blue Crow explores themes of diversity, courage, and self-acceptance that are universally meaningful. Catty Flores's vibrant illustrations amplify the story's emotional power and make it an unforgettable visual experience." - Kayleigh Perumal, Readers' Favorite "Tuula Pere's The Only Blue Crow delivers powerful, beautiful, and meaningful lessons for young readers - reminding them that there is always light at the end of the tunnel, a special purpose for every life, and a unique place in the world for each of us." - Outstanding Creator Awards "Illustrator Catty Flores brings Tuula Pere's message vividly to life with her expressive watercolors that show the blue crow's emotions in every brushstroke. This book is a wonderful resource for parents and teachers who wish to open conversations about loneliness, inclusion, and acceptance in a gentle and hopeful way." - Literary Titan "Pere writes a character that everyone can connect with - children and parents alike.
