About the Book

How do you slay that which you cannot even look at? That is but one of the many challenges that face the young hero Perseus. The son of no less than the mighty ruler of Olympus, Zeus, Perseus and his mother were cast into the sea in a casket when he was but an infant. Yet he thrived in the care of a humble fisherman. While his life may have looked poised for mediocrity, the hero in him could not remain hidden as he embarked on a labour which needed him to slay none other than the terrible Medusa, whose mere gaze could turn any man who looked at her into stone. But there's more to what is already a near-impossible task. He must first gather the right weapons to help him on this daunting task, and those in itself aren't as easy as they sound. How will Perseus get his weapons? Will his father help him? Will he be able to slay Medusa? Read on to find out!

About the Author :
Born in 1974 in Toms River, New Jersey, USA, Ryan Foley's obsession with comic books began during his childhood. He was first introduced to characters like Spider-Man and Batman during trips to the grocery store with his mother. In 2004, Ryan achieved a lifelong goal when his first comic book was published. Ryan cites the works of novelist RA Salvatore; comic book author, J Michael Straczynski; comic artist, Jim Lee; and filmmakers, James Cameron and George Lucas as his biggest creative influences. He claims that RA Salvatore's The Crystal Shard (and his character, Drizzt Do'Urden) is the book that has had the greatest impact on his life. It drew him into the world of fantasy, and inspired him to become a writer. When not writing comics, Ryan enjoys all kinds of movies, especially fantasy and sci-fi films, such as The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. He is a great fan of games consoles and is an avid player of the Tomb Raider series, and the Guitar Hero franchise. Ryan lives in the small rural community of Adair, Oklahoma. There he graduated from Adair High School and attended the nearby Rogers State University. Still happily residing in the Green Country area, he lives with his wife, Amy; and their three children, Alex, Jason, and Lauren. Ryan has worked with Image Comics and Arcana Studios on comic book series, including Masters of the Universe and Dragon's Lair. Motivated by the memory of his late mother, who bought so many comics for him as a kid, Ryan has written several graphic novel scripts for Campfire. Some of his titles, including the retelling of the great Greek mythological stories of Heracles, Perseus and Theseus will be published in the next 12 months, with many more to come in the future. A resident of Delhi, India, NARESH KUMAR describes himself as 'a seeker' who is continuously trying to learn as much as he can, and his art is an expression of his curiosity towards the world. A firm believer in humanity, Naresh brings an experienced hand to the drawing board. His work features in a number of titles from Campfire, which include Robinson Crusoe, A Christmas Carol, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Frankenstein, and Kidnapped.
