About the Author :
Herbert Millingchamp Vaughan was a Welsh author, historian, and bibliographer, born on July 27, 1870, in Penmorfa, Cardiganshire. He was educated at Clifton College and Keble College. Vaughan is known for his contributions to historical literature, particularly in the areas of Welsh history and bibliographic work. He had a strong interest in the preservation and documentation of historical events, and his academic pursuits were centered around thorough research and analysis of various historical texts. Vaughan's works were significant in understanding Welsh culture and history, often focusing on aspects that were underexplored at the time. His writing style combined a deep understanding of history with a dedication to presenting facts accurately. Vaughan passed away on July 31, 1948, at the age of 78. His legacy as a historian and author remains notable, particularly for his detailed approach to historical documentation and his efforts to make historical resources accessible for future generations.
