About the Author :
Dr. Rizwana Malik: doctorate in Agricultural Extension from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka, has demonstrated good achievements in her academic and professional career. Qualifying the National Eligibility Test (NET) in 2004, she has contributed to agricultural research, particularly at the grassroots level, focusing on disseminating technology to benefit fishers in general and farmer community in particular. Dr Malik's multifaceted involvement encompasses not only organizing training sessions and publishing approximately 40 research papers with an emphasis on practical applications but also leading various research projects. Her commitment to community development and the implementation of agricultural practices is evident in her work, which aims to enhance the lives and skills of individuals within the fisheries and other allied sectors. Dr Mudasir M Kirmani:working as Assistant Professor in the Division of Social Sciences, FoFy, SKUAST-K, holds doctorate in computer sciences. He has been associated with various projects which have been implemented to benefit the society in general and farmer community in particular. He has published more than 60 research articles, 02 books, and a good number of book chapters in reputed international publications. Ms. Reeba Rouf: is a research scholar in Fisheries Extension at Division of Social Sciences, Faculty of Fisheries, SKUAST-K. She has completed her Bachelors in Fisheries Sciences and is pursuing her Masters in Fisheries Sciences where she has been associated with the different research projects of the division which has helped her to gain good acumen of research and reaching to fishers. She is an extensive researcher and has been actively involved in interacting with the fishers to help them in improving their knowledge and expertise. Mr. Moin Farooq:is a research scholar in Fisheries Extension at Division of Social Sciences, Faculty of Fisheries, SKUAST-K. He has completed her Bachelors in Fisheries Sciences and is pursuing her Masters in Fisheries Sciences He is an extensive researcher and has been actively involved in interacting with the fishers to help them in improving their knowledge and expertise. He has been implementing the philosophy of Empowering people around him to empower himself, while interacting with the farming community.
