About the Author :
Dr. P. Jaisridhar is a distinguished Assistant Professor at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, with a specialization in Agricultural Extension. His extensive career spans multiple roles including the current role as Assistant Professor in the Directorate of Extension Education and service at various research and educational institutes such as the Centre of Excellence in Millets, Tiruvannamalai, Horticultural College and Research Institute for Women, Trichy and the ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Vellore. With a passion for teaching, Dr. Jaisridhar has delivered a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, organized educational tours, and guided numerous students, including postgraduate research. His scholarly contributions include six books, several chapters, and a plethora of research papers and e-learning resources. Recognized for his research excellence, he has garnered multiple international and national awards, latest being Manak Veer Award from the Bureau of Indian Standards. His dedication to agricultural innovation and extension is reflected in his involvement in numerous externally funded projects and his leadership in organizing training programs and workshops for farmers and students alike. His role in institutional development at TNAU underscores his commitment to advancing agricultural education and practice. Ms. S. Abirami is a dedicated doctoral student at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), who brings fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the field of agricultural extension. She completed her postgraduate studies under the mentorship of Dr. P. Jaisridhar, focusing on a comprehensive study of farm power utilization by farmers in Tamil Nadu.
