Plant Anatomy is the branch of science, under, which we study the structure and functions of the plants. Plant Anatomy includes the study about structural aspects of seed germination, photosynthesis, respiration, hormone functions, mineral plant relations, water plant relations, etc. In all changes from the seed to the fruit stage, a large number of diverse and complex processes are involved. As we know, green plants fill the basic needs of human beings and other creatures-food, fibres for clothing, timber for housit1, oxygen for, respiration, etc. These plants are not only the ultimate source of food but also supply the raw materials for many of our basic industries. This eminent work has very realistic and specific features of the Plant anatomy/ in an interesting manner. Further, it has also covered related aspects' of Plant Physiology, in order to make the study more helpful and useful for all readers.

Prof. S.C. Kalwar, Professor and Ex-Head, Department of Geography, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, is a specialist in Agricultural Geography, Rural Development, Land Use Planning Applied Economic Geography and Surveying. Professor Kalwar has written/edited 13 books related to resources, wasteland, ecology, environment, poverty and socio-economic development and has so far participated in about 25 conferences/ seminars/symposia of national and international levels, and has contributed 50 research papers in various journals, supervised 32 Ph.D. scholars, more than 100 M.A./M.Sc, /M.Phil. dissertations and conducted several research projects sponsored by U.G.C., I.C.S.S.R. and D.R.D.O., New Delhi. He is a member of Editorial Board of 'Studies in Geography', a research journal published by the Department of Geography, University of Rajasthan, and is the organiser of refresher courses and other academic conferences/seminars.
Dr. M.L. Sharma (bom on 3rd September, 1942) is presently working as Principal Shri Bhawani Niketan College, Jaipur and had a long (35 years) teaching and administrative experience. Dr. Sharma graduated from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, did his M .A. in Geography from University of Udaipur in 1966 with first division and Ph.D. from University of Rajasthan. Hailing from a small remote village of Phagi Tehsil, District, Jaipur. Dr. Sharma joined as a lecturer in Geography in a Government College in July, 1966. Dr. Sharma published six books and 70 research papers in the reputed national journals. Apart from the academic achievements, he served as N.C.C. officer (Major) and Leader Trainer (Rover scouting) and guided the youth in becoming good citizens. He is also a life member of N.A.G.I. R.G.A., I.I.G. and Rajasthan State Bharat Scout & Guides. Besides, he has organised a number of geographical conferences, seminars and published souvenirs.
Dr. R.D. Gurjar, Associate Professor in Geography is presently Convener, Board of Studies in Geography, member of Academic Council, Senate and Research Board as well as Chief Warden Campus hostels (boys) in the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Prior to it, he has held the administrative positions of Director, B.R. Ambedkar Administrative Service Examination Institute; Additional Chief Warden, University hostels; Vice-Principal and Principal of University Rajasthan College, Jaipur. Dr. Gurjar has also been member, Telecom Advisory Committee Rajasthan Circle, Jaipur (1992-1994) under the Ministry of Communication; member, National Road Safety Council (1986-88, 1992-94) Ministry of Surface Transport; member, Expert Committee for Thermal Power Projects (1994-96) Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India. Dr. Gurjar has several research papers as well as a book 'A Hand Book for Geography Teachers' at his credit.
Dr. M.K. Khandelwal, Head, Department of Geography, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur in a specialist in Livestock and Dairy Development, Integrated Rural Area Development, Urban Geography and Research Methodology. He has number of research papers and books to his credit. He has supervised many Ph.D. theses and edited Changing Contours of Arid Ecology, Rajasthan University Studies in Geography, Arid Ecology-Resources, Hazards and Rural Development Policies. He has attended and organised many academic conferences, and refresher courses. He is a life member of Asian Environmental Council, National Association of Geographers India, Indian Institute of Geomorphologists, Geographical Society of India, Institute of Indian Geographers and Rajasthan Geographical Association.
Dr. S.K. Wadhawan, a winner of Gold Medal of Delhi University, hold Ph.D. from University of Rajasthan. He has been a professional geoscientist in the Geological Survey of India for over 25 years. He has successfully completed several Quaternary geological mapping and applied geomorphological investigations, geoenvironmental and geotechnical appraisals in aridity affected dry lands of Thar Desert in Rajasthan and Gujarat. Dr. S.K. Wadhawan is presently posted as Director in GSI. As Convener of Indian National Working Group of UNESCO-IGCP Projects, Dr. S.K. Wadhawan has conducted and coordinated several frontline research programmes on Late Quaternary Coastal Records of Rapid Changes; Desert Margins and Palaeomonsoons; Understanding Future Dryland Environmental Changes from Past Dynamics, etc. He has over 40 internationally acclaimed scientific publications to his credit.
