About the Book

"These are my letters. This is my name. This my work." - Mirko Reisser (DAIM) DAIM, described as "The King of 3-D style writing", is one of the most revolutionary graffiti artists of all time. This book offers the opportunity to experience the most complete and extensive collection of his works to date. In 1989, DAIM sprayed his first piece on a feeder pillar outside of his parents' house. Now, in Mirko Reisser [DAIM]: 1989 - 2014, he reflects on a fascinating artistic career that has spanned the last 25 years. Off the grid and into the gallery - by tracing the evolution of his work from illegal street art and vandalism, spray-painting walls and buildings during his early career, to the more recent large-scale museum installations, this book offers a never-before-seen insight into the development of the artist through an extensive collection of murals, canvases, sculptures, graphics and tapings. Of the 300 images included in this book, some have never been published whilst others grant an exclusive behind-the-scenes insight into DAIM's intricate production process.

About the Author :
DAIM (pronounced like the coin 'dime'; born 1971 in Luneburg as Mirko Reisser) is a German graffiti artist who lives and works in Hamburg. He is renowned for his trademark large-size, 3D-style graffiti works. His technically sophisticated style fully proves his reputation as one of the best graffiti-artists in the world.

Review :
"[The] use of the name DAIM is becoming more and more complex. I perceive it as a kind of self-portrait -- my entire personality has impact on the works. My development as a human being strongly corresponds to my development as an artist."
