About the Author :

Abdelhamied A. Ateya (Senior Member, IEEE) received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Zagazig University, Egypt, in 2010 and 2014, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree from the Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, Russia, in 2019. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Zagazig University. He has coauthored more than 50 publications in high ranked journals. His current research interests include machine learning applications in communication networks, 5G/6G communications, the Internet of Things, tactile internet and its standardization, and vehicular communications. He is a member of many scientific communities and ACM Prof. Member. He has been an active member of several international journals and conferences, with a contribution as an author, a reviewer, an editor, or a member of program committees.

Ahmed A. Abd El-Latif (Senior Member, IEEE) received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer science from Menoufia University, Egypt, and his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China. Currently, he holds staff positions at Menoufia University, Egypt, and Prince Sultan University, Saudi Arabia. He has published over 300 papers in quality journals and conference proceedings, including 15 books, with over 11300 citations. He is Head of the MEGANET 6G Lab Research in the Russian Federation. He is the founder and deputy director of the Center of Excellence in Quantum and Intelligent Computing (Prince Sultan University, Saudi Arabia). He has received many awards, including the State Encouragement Award in Engineering Sciences from Egypt in 2016, the Best Ph.D. Student Award from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2013, and the Young Scientist Award from Menoufia University, Egypt, in 2014. He is actively engaged in the scientific community, serving as Chair or Co-Chair of several conferences and holding editorial positions in various quality journals.

Ammar Muthanna is an Associate Professor at the Department of Telecommunication networks, SPbSUT, and Director of the Scientific Center for Future Wireless Networks Modeling at RUDN University, Institute of Applied Mathematics and Telecommunications, RUDN University. He received his B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., and Dr.Sc. degrees from the Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications in 2009, 2011, 2016, and 2023 respectively. In 2017–2019 he worked as Postdoctoral Researcher at RUDN University. In 2012 and 2013, he took part in the Erasmus student Program with the Faculty of electrical engineering, University of Ljubljana, and in 2014 he was visitor researcher at Tampere University, Finland. Ammar is a senior member of the IEEE and ACM member. He has been an active member of the technical program committee at many international conferences and journals. He is the expert on the Judges Panel and the Challenge Management Board at AI-5G-Challenge, ITU, and organizer of the Russian Host in 2020 and 2021 at Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications. His research interests include wireless communications, 5G/6G cellular systems, artificial intelligence, high-density IoT, telepresence applications, edge/fog computing, and software-defined networking.

Artem Volkov is an Associate Professor of the Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications (SPbSUT) and head of experimental development in Meganetlab 6G. He defended his Ph.D. thesis "Future Infrastructure & Services Based on AI " in 2021 in Russian Federation. He is the author of scientific articles that are indexed in the Scopus & WoS databases and he also co-authored the book "Software-define Networking" in the Russian language. He specializes in 5G/6G infrastructure issues including SDN networking, MEC/fog computing, and telepresence services, taking into account new approaches of AI implementation to networks. He is also an editor of draft recommendations in ITU-T SG 11, SG 13, and SG 20. He has also participated as a Russian delegate in the International Telecommunication Union Standardization Sector.

Andrey Koucheryavy received his degree from the Leningrad University of Telecommunications in 1974. He joined the Telecommunication Research Institute LONIIS, where he worked until October 2003 (from 1986 to 2003 as the First Deputy Director). He has been a Professor with the Bonch-Bruevich Saint Petersburg State University of Telecommunications (SUT) since 1998, where he became a Chaired Professor with the Telecommunication Networks and Data Transmission Department in 2011. He was an Advisor of the Central Science Research Telecommunication Institute (ZNIIS) from 2003 to 2010. He was a Co-Founder of the International Teletraffic Seminar in 1993, 1995, 1998, and 2002; the Founder of the Model Network for Digital Networks with LONIIS in 1997; the Co-Founder of the Model Network for Packet Networks with ZNIIS in 2004, the Internet of Things Laboratory in 2012, and the Quality of Experience and IPTV Laboratory with SUT in 2014. He was the Chair of the Scientific School on Teletraffic Theory in LONIIS from 1990 to 2003; the Founder and the Scientific School Chair of the Internet of Things and Self-Organizing Networks with SUT since 2010; a Steering Committee Member of IEEE technically co-sponsored series of conferences ICACT and NEW2AN. He was the SG11 ITU-T Vice-Chairperson, from 2005 to 2008 and from 2009 to 2012. He was the WP3/WP4 SG11 Chairperson from 2006 to 2012; the WP4 SG11 Vice-Chairperson, from 2015 to 2016; the Chairperson of SG11 from 2017 to March 2022. He was the Co-Founder of the International Testing Center for New Telecommunications Technologies with ZNIIS under ITU-D Competence. He was a Host and a Technical Program Committees Member of the "Kaleidoscope 2014" at SUT. He was an Honorary Member of Popov’s Society in 2002.
