Dai risultati sperimentali emerge che il campione con particelle di 150 micron ha ridotto l'infiammabilità del polipropilene vergine e migliorato le proprietà meccaniche. Ciò è stato attribuito alle proprietà migliorate della fibra di vetro utilizzata come rinforzo. Tutti gli additivi con diverse dimensioni delle particelle hanno avuto un impatto sul polipropilene puro sia per quanto riguarda l'infiammabilità che le proprietà meccaniche studiate con l'aumento del carico di riempitivo. Il tempo di accensione per tutti i compositi è aumentato con l'aumento del carico di riempitivo. L'ordine di aumento del tempo di accensione risulta da 0 a 10%: 150 micron > 200 micron > 250 micron > 300 micron. L'elevato tempo di accensione registrato nel campione con particelle di 150 micron ha suggerito che ci sarebbe stato un miglioramento nella resistenza alla fiamma del polipropilene ottenuto grazie alla sinergia dei composti azotati e alla natura inerte della fibra di vetro nella matrice.
