Le blog a été créé à la fin des années 90 et, au fil des ans, certains blogs ont gagné en notoriété dans leur domaine. Ces blogs sont rédigés par des blogueurs charismatiques qui attirent l'attention des lecteurs et, par conséquent, des entreprises qui souhaitent établir des partenariats. Cette étude avait pour objectif d'analyser la relation entre les blogueuses mode et beauté et les entreprises de cosmétiques. À cette fin, une étude qualitative a été menée à l'aide d'une stratégie de recherche de cas multiples. Les données ont été recueillies à travers des entretiens ciblés avec trois blogueuses mode et beauté, sur les sites web d'entreprises de cosmétiques et sur des blogs consacrés à la mode et à la beauté disponibles sur Internet, afin d'explorer la manière dont les partenariats entre eux se développent. À partir de l'analyse des preuves, il a été constaté que les blogueuses mode et beauté interrogées sont des professionnelles et entretiennent des partenariats avec des entreprises de cosmétiques nationales et internationales. La relation peut prendre quatre formes: bannières, publications publicitaires, publireportages et également la fabrication de produits cosmétiques en partenariat avec le blog.
