About the Author :
Gijón, España, 11 de enero de 1949. Incansable activista social, historiador y autor de las biografías de Pancho Villa, Tony Guiteras y de la más leída sobre el Che, así como de más de 70 obras en distintos géneros literarios publicadas en 28 países. Algunos de sus libros han sido mencionados entre los «libros del año» por The New York Times, Le Monde y Los Angeles Times. Ha merecido tres veces el Premio Internacional Dashiell Hammett a la mejor novela policiaca, el premio francés 813 a la mejor novela negra extanjera publicada en Francia, el premio Bancarella en Italia al libro del año y el Premio Nacional de Historia INAH. Es el creador de la nueva novela negra en español con la serie protagonizada por Héctor Belascoarán.
